This story was completely different from any of the stories in Jan's Kentucky series and was totally unexpected. But I was surprised by joy as I read it. It is not a paranormal, though many who read it might be of that opinion. To me it is a spiritual story, a story involving Beth's vivid dreams about a long ago time that eerily seemed real because of their connection to the visible ghost that inhabited Beth's inherited bed and breakfast mansion. The developing romance between Beth and Jeff, the manager of the bed and breakfast, was also eerily reminiscent of long ago characters in Beth's dreams. It is a story of wonder, of hope, of love and of making peace with the past. In short, it was a wonderfully crafted story that kept me enthralled from beginning to end.Product details

Usually, I won't pick a book that has a paranormal angle, because I'm just not into that sort of thing. I decided to take a chance on this one, since I have enjoyed Jan Scarbrough's books in the past. Jeff is managing a Bed and Breakfast in an Old Louisville mansion, when Beth, who has just inherited the mansion, shows up to help run it. The development of their characters has an extra dimension. The history of the old mansion and its former residents is woven into their story in surprising ways. This is a bit darker and more gothic than I expected, but I couldn't put it down.
Loved this book! Didn't want to put it down and when I did I couldn't wait to pick it up again! Nice mix of romance and mystery. Can't wait to read more of her books!!
I’m a mystery guy. Timeless is my first romance and I loved it, probably because it’s not just a romance—it’s also a bit of a mystery. Jan Scarbrough builds tension and keeps you guessing with flashbacks to a 19th century Louisville mansion, danger, suspense, and—of course, romance. An interesting cast of characters, including a ghost, make this a fun read. Timeless is a well-written, well-crafted story that I highly recommend.
I enjoy a good Gothic romance now and then and this one didn't disappoint. I'll be watching for this author to read more of her work.

I love ghost stories and romance. I only gave this a 3 star rating because I guess there wasn't enough "ghost" in it. I did like the characters and there is nothing more romantic than love that transcends time. I would recommend this book to a romantic minded person and anyone who loves the south.
Imagine being adopted and having anger towards youre birth mother for putting you up. Then one day find out youre birth mom left you a legacy! Our heroine get this and must move into the family home and learns about a ghost plus feelings for an employee. Twist and turns ghost mysterious dreams and reincarnation. Great gothic novel highly recommend
